Tubasaluki: Quoting music since 2003

Its time for the semesterly look at my classes. As we enter week 6 your probably waiting with baited breath, how does Alan feel about his courses?

RT 393 Radio TV in Society or You already learned this in RT 200.
I havee a theory that the university doesn’t actually want to teach anything passt the basics. They just rehash the old material over and over again. This class is exhibit A.

History 301 Modern U.S. History or Lots o’ Backhanded Commentary on the current administration.
I like this class. Not just because of the quasi-Bush bashing either. I find it interesting, and more in depth than any other history class I’ve taken. And its not on ancient civilization. Big plus.

Journalism 393-Journalsim Law or We get it. Fox is Conservative.
Alright, I got in this class to learn about journalism law. Not be reminded that ruper Murdoch is conservative and that certain media outlets have biases. I know this.
This class gets bonus points for everyone staring at me as if I just proved there was no god when I explained why the government can regulate broadcasting. Am I exaggerating? Porbably. but not by much. (If you’re confused, drop me a line. I can explain)

RT 470-Television Field Production or I was right about this.
I still don’t like television news. I don’t like the stressed out newsroom. This class also fits into the university doesn’t want to teach us new things. This is a carbon copy of 370.

RT 464-Audio Documentary and Diversity or You were the head of the department?
This class is taught by a certain former head of the radio television department. It also happens to be the most unorganized hour and fifteen minutes of rabble I’ve ever experienced. The GAs bumble around when they’re supposed to lead, and half the time we don’t know whats due when and whats expected of us. I like this class the least out of any of them. Its quite possibly the worst class I’ve ever taken.

And now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
