First off, before we begin, I’d like Queen to give a quick recap of the Apple Cup.

All in all, it was a good football weekend. Prairie High School won its first ever state football championship, which was just weird to watch. I mean, Prairie…winning…football…these words never go in the same sentence. Ever! Even though I didn’t attend the school, its nice to see Cottonwood win something. On top of that, the Salukis won the conference (and are still somehow seeded lower than Northern Iowa..despite BEATING Northern Iowa. The Panthers have one more win because they played one more game. The fun part is, this means Southern would travel to UNI if both teams advance in the playoffs, even though the Salukis own the conference tie-breaker. Right.

Anyways, I’m off to Lake Stevens for a week of fun, turkey, and a half marathon. Should be a good time. Plus, it won’t be 25 degrees out there, so thats nice.
