So, I joined a gym. I wanted to keep this whole attempting to be fit thing into the winter seasons. Right now, its what could be termed as “really f***ing cold.” Its not fun and possibly not healthy to run. I have been to the gym once, and spent a half hour on the treadmill. It was quite possibly the most boring experience ever. There’s no drivers pausing between bites of their Triple Big Macs to give you the “WHAT ARE YOU DOIN’?” look. I miss that look. Maybe I should get a picture of one to put on the treadmill.

The gym is a decent place. Has some treadmills, some exercise bikes, lots of free weights. It gets the job done. Plus, I have 24 hour access so if I feel the need to run at 1 am (this has happened…) I can do it!

In other news, I’ve been thinking about podcasting about…whatever. I don’t no. I think if I started podcasting, I wouldn’t want to be constrained by a specific topic. Remember when I tried to do that rugby blog? Haha! What an expirement that was! If I podcast will there be rugby? Of course, for rugby is a grand game. But I can also talk about other things.

Speaking of podcasts: Dear NPR, can you please put a tag on the end of your NPR shuffle? I love the shuffle. It gets me my dose of elitist news in a nice 20 minute forecast. Its also amusing when you talk about sports. I heard the phrase “For our listeners who don’t know, the Miami Heat are the professional basketball team in Miami.” That killed me. But please, give us a tag. Something like “This is the NPR Shuffle downloaded from iTunes. For more things NPR, visit us at NPR.org” This is not hard and is a lot better than just stopping after the final story.

I’ll keep you posted on the Podcasting thing. Its probably going to happen because I’ll get bored one day and say “Lets do it!”

Give my regards to soul and romance
They always did the best you could,

Alan
